Fresh off his sensational demolition of the IBF super middleweight king Lucian Bute, the newly crowned lord of the 168lbers, Carl Froch, traveled to London and took part in the draw of the upcoming Prizefighter international heavyweight boxing series. The show will be staged this coming Wednesday at York Hall in Bethnal Green, London. Froch managed to select the following quarterfinal pairs:

1. Albert Sosnowski (46-4-2, 28 KOs) – Maurice Harris (25-16-2, 11 KOs)

Sosnowski from Poland is 33. He is best known for his spirited but hopeless loss to Vitali Klitschko in 2010. In his latest fight Sosnowski was in a very poor shape and managed to get a draw with 23-61-4 cruiserweight Hastings Rasani. He should be better prepared well for dangerous 36-year old American journeyman Harris, who has lots of upset wins over quality staff.

2. Kevin Johnson (26-1-1, 12 KOs) – Noureddine Meddoune (4-1, 4 KOs)

Johnson, the huge favorite of the series, is just 32 and ranked #11 by the IBF. He is one of a few fighters to come out of the Klitschko collision on his feet. He represents the United States of America. Meddoune is 28 and represents Morocco. All of his wins came through the first-round TKOs.

3. Tor Hamer (15-1, 10 KOs) – Marcelo Luiz Nascimento (16-3, 14 KOs)

American Hamer is 29 and 2-0 this year after the 15-months long hiatus. Nascimento, 31, a potent Brazilian puncher, stopped Argentinean veteran Basile in just a round but was then finished off by Tyson Fury in a very straightforward manner within five rounds in 2011.

4. Tom Dallas (15-2, 11 KOs) – Tom Little (3-0)

This clash between two local fighters is easily the weakest cell in the chain. Little, 24, is way too inexperienced, while Dallas, 27, is coming off two back-to-back knockout losses to David Price and Matt Skelton respectively.
