Last week highly regarded welterweight prospect Prichard "Digget" Colón (16-0) scored a brutal 4th round knockout of former champion Vivian Harris in Toronto, Ontario on the Adonis Stevenson-Tommy Karpency Spike TV televised undercard. The telecast was part of the Premier Boxing Champions series that has been put together by Al Haymon.

Shortly after the fight krikya360.com caught up with Colón to get his thoughts on the knockout.

"I think that based on the name that it holds and it being my first ex-world champ that it is the best KO of my career so far," said Colón in regards to his 13th career knockout.

Colón had an extensive amateur background and was excited to get the opportunity to fight in Toronto.  He said that he hopes to get another fight before the year is over.

"It's great to experience training and fighting internationally. I did it as an amateur and now I'm doing it as a pro. The vibe in each place is unique and great. This was my 4th fight this year.  I try to stay as busy as I can to get the experience I need to grow as a fighter. I'm hoping to get right back into training and fight again in November," said Colón.

The Puerto Rican fighter feels that next year will be very big for his career.  He feels that his career development is moving at a rapid pace and that the big fights are right around the corner.

Colon, who is managed by boxing power broker Al Haymon, said that he hopes to be just as active next year as he has been so far in his career.

";2016 should be a very interesting year, I should be getting over my 20th fight and its up to my manager Al Haymon to decide. I plan to continue working hard and stay as active as I can," Colon stated.

As for his goals in the sport, Colon said that Puerto Rico has another rising star at 147 pounds, a division that Puerto Rican greats Tito Trinidad, Miguel Cotto and Wilfredo Benitez fought in at one time.

"In all my fights I'm coming to perform at the highest level and show that Puerto Rico has a promising fighter in the welterweight division!" Colon told krikya360.com.
