The champion of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), Buenos Aires' Victor Emilio "Tyson del Abasto" Ramirez (22-2, 17 KO), will make the first defense of his belt against British fighter Ovill "The Upsetter" McKenzie (25-12, 13 KO). The bout will be screened on TyC Sports.
There were no issues with the scale. The referee is Benji Esteves (United States) and the judges are Alejandro Lopez Cid (Mexico), John Poturaj (US) and Lawrence Layton (United States). The supervisor will be Daryl Peoples.
Ramirez (22-2, 17 KO) came in at 90.700 kg / 199.9 lb and McKenzie (25-12, 13 KO) was 86.750 kg / 191.2 lb.
Ramirez became the full world champion when Yoan Pablo Hernandez as stripped due to numerous injuries and illnesses, which prevented him from making a defense in a very long time.
