Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) hit the scales at 19 stone 10 pounds [276-pounds] today at Manchester’s Great Northern Amphitheatre for his comeback fight against Sefer Seferi (23-1, 21 early) at the city’s Arena tomorrow night.
The former heavyweight Champion went up to 27 stone [378-pounds] at one point during his near three-year absence from boxing, but he has slowly chipped away at the weight under the watchful eye of new trainer Ben Davison. Albania’s Seferi weighed 15 stone 2 ounces [210.2-pounds] for the 10-threes non-title fight.
After posing for photos, Fury lifted his opponent off his feet before Seferi returned the favour. Fury then stopped for a few photos with fans before heading indoors for his pre-fight medical.
The 29-year-old also spent a little time with Nick Blackwell, the former British middleweight champion who was forced to retire after suffering a brain bleed when losing to Chris Eubank Jr. in March 2016. Blackwell was introduced to the crowd prior to the weigh-in and was given a rousing round of applause.
More weights to follow.
