Queensland, Australia - For the interim-WBO junior middleweight title, Tim Tszyu (23-0, 17 KOs) demolished Carlos Ocampo (35-3, 23 KOs) in the first round.
Right off the bat, Tszyu dropped Ocampo with a big right hand. Once Ocampo got up, Tszyu mobbed him with big punches and landed a massive left hook to sent Ocampo down very hard against the ropes. The fight was quickly waved off.
Tszyu remains as the mandatory challenger to undisputed world champion Jermell Charlo.
The WBO has ordered Charlo vs. Tszyu to take place before the end of September.
