JUANA DIAZ, PUERTO RICO - In the town of Juana Diaz, a press conference was held to announce the World Boxing Organization (WBO) title clash, between Puerto Rican Cesar "Junito" Seda (20-0, 15KO's) and Argentina's Omar Narvaez (33-0-2, 19KO's). The conference came to life at the Centro de Bellas Artes in Juana Diaz Ada Mage.

"I am very grateful for the opportunity given to me by Paco Valcárcel to fight for a WBO title. Also, thanks to my promoters Gary Shaw and Javier Bustillo, who believe and trust in me," said Seda, a fighter for Universal Promotions and Gary Shaw Productions.

Narvaez was an outstanding amateur boxer and boasts a record 16 successful defenses in the flyweight division, surpassing the defense record of the great Argentine middleweight champion Carlos Monzon.

"I've been waiting my whole life for this opportunity and I will seize it. I am going to pledge this victory to my beautiful island of Puerto Rico," said Seda.

Seda could become the first champion of the town of Juana Díaz. In the past Daniel Seda and Felix Flores, also of the Manzanilla area, fought for world titles but were unsuccessful.

The fighter has been training at the Olympic Village in Salinas under instructions from his father, manager and coach Cesar Seda Sr. They expect to be traveling to Argentine soil about a week before the collision with Narvaez.

"This training has been different and stronger than before, because we want to offer this victory to Puerto Rico and our town of Juana Díaz. "Junito" is in tremendous condition and ready to fight Narváez," said Seda Sr.

"This is the time of Seda. I have seen him develop as a boxer and I know he has the talent to dominate and even knock Narváez out," said Gary Shaw, president of Gary Shaw Productions.

"Seda was the first boxer that I signed when I started as a promoter. It is a nice to see him fight for a world title. I know he will win and will bring the crown to Puerto Rico," said Javier Bustillo, president of Universal Promotions.
