Undefeated WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is working hard at his training camp in Big Bear, California, where he prepares for the second defense of his world title. Alvarez will fight with his compatriot, Alfonso Gomez, on September 17 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where Canelo hopes to implement a new attendance record.

Canelo started sparring last week with the world ranked Carson Jones and now he will do so with Charlie Ota, who is ranked among the best in the world.

Every morning the young champion jogs around the lake next to the hut, where he lives with his team of Edison Reynoso and Jose Reynoso.

The preparation layed out for Alvarez is going forward as planned. Recently, he was weighed a month before his scheduled fight and weighed 165 pounds, which is only 11-pounds above his fighting weight.
