The world boxing champion of the WBO at 130-pounds, Roman "Rocky" Martinez, carried the torch for Central American and Caribbean Games on July 4 in his hometown of Vega Baja.

"For me it is a true honor to represent the people who saw me grow up in such a prestigious event like this. My boxing career has not been easy but I want you to know that whenever I'm in the ring I'm not alone because I have the strength and support of my people," said Martinez.
