Conlan was rocked and getting pounded against the ropes in the seventh, when the referee jumped in to wave off the fight.
The fight took a bad turn early on, when Conlan was dropped hard by a left hand in the second round.
Conlan was trying to bounce back after suffering a knockout loss earlier this year, at the hands of IBF featherweight champion Luis Alberto Lopez.
The Irish Olympian event changed trainer - from Adam Booth to Pedro Diaz - but it wasn't enough to bounce back.
