Garcia came out jabbing in the first round and looking to push Davis back. Davis was using his footwork and sizing the bigger Garcia up. Both were cautious. Davis began to jab his way in to size up the distance.
Garcia rushed Davis in the second round and began to unload with big punches. Davis kept holding him to stop the change. As Garcia came in, Davis dropped him with a solid counter. Garcia beat the count, but was getting tagged with the left hand.
In the third, Garcia came out pressing forward and looked to work his way in. Davis was starting to land his punches when Garcia walked inside. Davis was now starting to come forward to pressure Garcia. IN the fourth, it was chess match with both picking their spots. Davis was often jabbing to the body to work his way in.
Another technical fifth. Davis getting the better of the close action. During the sixth, Garcia landed three solid right hands. The punches made Davis come forward to get some payback, but Garcia was able to avoid his charge. Davis connected with a solid uppercut, and Garcia came back with a combination.
Garcia was jabbing well at the start of the seventh. During the round, Davis landed a big shot to the body, which forced Garcia to a knee and he took the full count.
