They were trading heavy body shots in the second. During the third, they were trading punches in close in a give and take manner.
They continued to trade heavy leather during the third and fourth. Martinez was landing a lot of head shots in the fifth, with Ancajas more geared to go to the body. Martinez continued to throw a lot of heavy leather on Ancajas during the sixth. Ancajas was firing back, but he was being outworked.
They were going toe to toe in the seventh. During the eight, Martinez was dishing out more of the punishment as Ancajas continued to stay in close to trade. The same trend continued in the ninth, with Martinez's volume overwhelming Ancajas with punches. Ancajas was doing better in the tenth, but he was still taking a lot of punches.
The eleventh started in a toe to toe scrap. Martinez was outworking Ancajas with heavy leather to the head. In the twelfth and final round, they both came out firing. Martinez was getting the better of the exchanges.
