The WBC super middleweight title was only at stake for Angulo, because Benavdiez was nearly three pounds over the weight limit and was stripped of the belt.
Angulo was willing to make it a fight with Benavidez, as he was coming in to trade punches in close. Benavidez was shooting a very hard jab on Angulo. Benavidez has the edge in the second and third with his power punches and jab.
Benavidez with the edge in activity and landed punches, as the fight played out in the fifth and sixth. Benavidez was outworking and outlanding Angulo in the seventh. More of the same in the eight and ninth.
Angulo unable to change anything in the tenth and the fight was stopped before the start of the eleventh.
