The final press conference took place for Saturday's card being staged by Pepe Gomez of Cancun Boxing and Golden Boy Promotions. In the main event, former multi-division champion Cristian Mijares (49-8-2, 24KOs) will return to action against Sebastian Daniel Rodriguez (20-6-1, 7KOs). The Televisa/Fox Deportes televised card will take place at the Oasis Hotel in Cancun, Mexico. Mijares is back for the first time since losing a twelve round unanimous decision to Leo Santa Cruz in March as part of the Canelo-Angulo undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
