The scores were 98-92, 97-93 and 98-92 for Diaz.
The first round was very close and tactical as they both looked for openings. Diaz was working the jab and landing counters here and there in the second. Sanchez was still in the fight, making it close.
Diaz was finding openings, especially to the body, in the third and fourth. There wasn't much of a change in the fifth or sixth. Sanchez was charging in often and missing his shots. Sanchez was doing better in the seventh as he was letting his hands go more often.
The action tightened up in the eight, with Sanchez being more active and Diaz obliging to trade in close. In the ninth, Diaz was landing very hard shots with both hands, connecting to the head and body. A closer tenth, but Diaz had the edge as the fight closed out.
