Early in the first, Dirrell seemed to stun Hernandez for a moment and then unloaded with several punches before Hernandez recovered. They were trading punches at close range at the start of the second. Hernandez was doing much better and was taking the fight to Dirrell.
Hernandez continued to make it a tough fight for Dirrell in the third. In the fourth, Dirrell landed a huge uppercut at the start and Hernandez went down very hard. He was barely able to beat the count and the referee waved off the fight.
