On Tuesday night, krikya360.com reported that a light heavyweight tilt between Jean Pascal and Yunieski Gonzalez, scheduled for an HBO televised date of July 25th, was in jeopardy of falling apart.

The situation was serious enough that plans were already in motion to replace the fight with a title defense by WBC flyweight champion Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez, who made a successful premiere on HBO on May 16th by blowing out Edgar Sosa in two rounds. Some of the names being mentioned to face 'Chocolatito' are Brian Viloria and Giovanni Segura.

Earlier today, a source with knowledge of the details advised BoxingScene that Pascal-Gonzalez was back in place after issues related to drug testing and the contract weight were worked out between the parties.

Pascal-Gonzalez is the HBO televised co-feature to Sergey Kovalev's debut outing at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas versus Nadjib Mohemmedi.
