17-year-old featherweight prospect Devin Haney (5-0, 3KOs), who is trained by Floyd Mayweather Sr., won a four round unanimous decision over Rafael Vazquez (2-5). All three judges saw it 40-36.

Light heavyweight prospect Oleksandr Gvozdyk (10-0, 8KOs)) pulled off a crushing one-punch knockout of recent world title challenger  Nadjib Mohammedi (37-5) in the second round. AFter Mohammedi started off well in the first round and may have won it, he was drilled right on the chin - going down and out for the count. in the second.

Dangerous welterweight Egis Kavaliauskas (12-0, 11KOs) was extended the distance with an eight round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Deniz Ilbay (15-0, 8KOs), who was led to the ring by MMA superstar Tito Ortiz. Ilbay showed a very good chin by taking many hard punches, used good movement to stay away when needed and also landed some good shots of his own but lacked any real power to do damage. All three judges saw it 80-72.

Hot super middleweight prospect Leon Bauer (8-0, 6KOs) of Germany won a hard fought six round unanimous decision over Ilshat Khusnulgatin (12-2, 6KOs). The scores were 60-54, 59-55, 59-55. Bauer is promoted by Sauerland Event.

In an intriguing battle of undefeated welterweights with big implications, Konstantin Ponomarev (30-0) defeated Brad Solomon (26-1) via split decision in a bout he appeared to dominate.  The North American Boxing Federation welterweight title holder was the aggressor throughout the fight, peppering Solomon with hard shots to the body and face. 

Solomon responded with some power shots of his own but didn't throw enough jabs to keep the Russian at bay. Solomon landed some big shots of his own in the 6th but couldn't hold off Ponomarev's pursuit.  Ponomarev, who is trained by Gennady Golovkin's trainer Abel Sanchez, rocked Solomon on several occasions in the 7th round. 

Solomon continued absorbing punishment but made it to the final bell.  The final tallies were 98-92 Ponomarev, a head-scratching for 96-94 Solomon and 96-94 for Ponomarev.
