Super middleweight Osleys Iglesias (10-0, 9 KOs) stopped Marcelo Coceres (32-7-1, 18 KOs) in the first-round of Thursday’s co-feature at Casino de Montréal in Montreal, Canada.
Iglesias, a Cuban now fighting out of Germany, pushed the pace early. He used an educated jab to keep Coceres at distance, and his hands in his pockets. Iglesias was caught with a left hook to the temple, dropped and counted out at 2:07 of the first round.
This was Coceres’ second straight knockout loss. He was knocked out by Diego Pacheco in the ninth round last November.
