After almost four year as a professional Valdez has looked great in his last three fights as he steps out from prospect to contender.

“The last few camps have been real good. The concentration is there, the intensity is there and all I have to do is keep working to get the world championship I have wanted since I nine years-old,”, said Valdez, who has three straight knockouts.

Ruedas (26-0, 23 KOs) will be a tough opponent for Valdez.

“I am sure he's working hard and wanting that world title just as much as I do, but it’s a challenge that I welcome. All opponents are dangerous and Ruedas is no exception. I will be at my best and with my trainer we will come up with the best strategy to win this fight.” said Valdez.
