Omar Narvaez (35-1-2, 19KOs), still the WBO's super flyweight champion, plans to return to his natural weight. Last Saturday at Madison Square Garden in New York, Narvaez moved up in weight to challenge WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire (27-1, 18KOs). The Filipino champion won a twelve round unanimous decision, handing Narvaez his first career loss. The Argentine legend is not upset with his performance. He felt Donaire was partially responsible for the lack of action in the ring.

"I think it went very well defensively, but I did not attack enough to win. But keep in mind that I was facing a tough opponent, very strong. I think I opened the doors to fight again in America, but the next time it's going to be in the super flyweight division. We have to recognize that he didn't do much in the fight because because he realized that I was completely on the defensive and he was waiting for me to make a mistake. Neither of us wanted to make a mistake because in this kind of fight it can be fatal. In addition, against an opponent like Nonito you not make a mistake at any time," Narvaez said.

"Right now I plan to return to my weight class, which is super flyweight and that's where I feel the most comfortable."
