Two of Thailand’s top fighters will go head to head on April 21st when Nawaphon Por Chokchai faces Amnat Ruenroeng in Bangkok. The former has challenged for world titles while the latter was the IBF 112lbs champion for two years.

Amnat (18-2) is best known for handing Zou Shiming his first professional loss. He went to the 2008 Olympics who holds wins over the likes of Kazuto Ioka, McWilliams Arroyo and John Riel Casimero.

However Amnat, who is now campaigning at 115lbs, has lost two of his last three boxing matches. Nawaphon (40-1) doesn’t have as many big names on his resume but he is 12 years younger than the former champion.

The fight will take place at the Workpoint Studio in Bangkok and be screened live on Workpoint TV in Thailand. Nawaphon’s WBC Asia 115lbs title will be on the line.

IN OTHER NEWS: World Boxing Council minimumweight champion Wanheng Menayothin, will defend his crown against dangerous number one ranked Panamanian and mandatory challenger, Leroy Estrada, on May 2 in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

Wanheng steps up to defend his crown for the ninth time. Last November,  he defeated Japan's Tatsuya Fukuhara by UD. While , Estrada (16-2-0, 6 KO'S), comes from defeating the tough resourceful Mexican Saul "Baby" Juarez.

Meenayothin has a record of 49-0, with 17 knockouts, so if he  wins his next fight, he would equal the undefeated record of Floyd Mayweather Jr (50-0).

The champion is busy getting ready for this key fight, as he is aware of the importance of locking on to  his 50th victory. It'll be an historic event in Thailand.
