Martin Murray is back in the mix in the middleweight division, as he attempts to secure another world title shot.

In order to get in line for another opportunity, Murray must defeat game opponent Gabriel Rosado on Saturday night at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

Murray (34-4-1, 16 KOs) has had four world title shots in his career. He went to a draw with Felix Sturm in 2011, lost a decision to Sergio Martinez in 2013, was knocked out by Gennady Golovkin in 2015 and lost a decision in the same year to Arthur Abraham.

Murray is in a do or die situation on Saturday. He lost a twelve round decision to George Groves, and then bounced back with a decision over late replacement Nuhu Lawal in November.

Golovkin holds four world titles, with the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBA titles around his waist. Murray, after taking a beating and suffering his first stoppage loss at the hands of Golovkin, is not exactly looking to have a second go with him. He's hoping Golovkin heads to 168 to open up some titles opportunities.

 "I still feel that I can become a world champion and beating a class fighter like Rosado on a big show that I am still well capable of landing a belt," Murray said to Nick Parkinson.

"I know that I still have a world title in me. Middleweight was all tied up with Golovkin but super-middleweight was more so I moved up. Having gone up there and fought the best up there, they are big guys and I feel that I am better placed at middleweight. Golovkin still has all the belts but he might have to move up to get the fights he wants and that could open things up once more.

"People have always written me off. I've moved to super-middleweight, I thought I should have won the title against Abraham. Against Groves, I was far from my best but I left it all in the ring and nearly spun it on its head late on and that was me at only 60 percent."
