Audi Attar, manager of UFC superstar Conor McGregor, is not ruling out the possibility of a future fight with social media star turned boxer, Jake Paul.

McGregor and Paul have been trading words for several years.

Paul, who has a pro boxing record of 7-1 with 4 knockouts, has defeated several UFC veterans during his career in sanctioned boxing matches.

He holds wins over Ben Askren, Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley (twice) and most recently Nate Diaz.

Paul returns to the ring on December 15 against pro boxer Andre August (10-1-1, 5 KOs).

McGregor has been out of action since July 2021, when he suffered a severe leg injury during his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier. McGregor is currently planning to return to the cage in 2024.

The contest doesn't necessarily have to take place in the squared circle.

Besides the sport of boxing, Paul is entering the world of mixed martial arts. He intends to make his MMA debut next year. Most recently, Paul called out Diaz to have a rematch under MMA rules.

Earlier this year, he signed a deal with MMA organization PFL [Professional Fighters League] - who are quickly becoming the main rival to the UFC.

As far as Paul facing McGregor in a boxing ring, or the cage, the Irish fighter's manager would not rule out that possibility in the future. 

"I think the challenge with combat sports is looking that far ahead. You never say never. Getting back into the octagon is step one, going in and handling business there. Then, not looking past that, but then, obviously, when you get past that, look at your options and see what’s next," Attar said to Fox.
