The World Boxing Council is readying to celebrate its 52nd annual Convention, and some of it's staggering records are due to be officially recognized.

The Guinness World Records will present deserved recognition to the achievements of:

Don Jose Sulaiman who led the WBC for 38 years and 41 days, From December 5th, 1975 to January 16th, 2014.

Julio Cesar Chavez will also be recognized for attracting the biggest attendance to a boxing card, with 132,274 boxing fans at an unforgettable event at the Azteca Stadium. He overwhelmed Greg Haugen, successfully defending his super lightweight crown on February 20th, 1993.

Bernard Hopkins will receive Guinness recognition for being the boxer with the most vintage maturity in defending a world title. He was champion of two organizations at a more than spritely 49 years and 297 days old. He lost his crowns on November 8th, but still recorded a memorable and durable performance.

Floyd Mayweather will receive three awards for being the best paid athlete collecting 105,000,000 dollars according to the Forbes 2014 list.

The second one is for the card he starred in along with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, gaining the most PPV revenue with 150,000,000 USD as 2,200,000 watched the event on September 14th, 2013.

The third one for was for getting the highest PPV buyrate as 2,400,000 watched his bout against Oscar de la Hoya, with the WBC super welterweight title on the line in 2007. Oscar de la Hoya is also going to be recognized for this achievement.

Our current WBC President, Mauricio Sulaiman, will also be recognizedt. Our precious green and gold symbol of brilliance reached 443 km of altitude. The WBC belt was taken to the space station “ Baikanar Cosmodrome”, which maintains The International Space Station.
