Manager Mario Arano has confirmed that former World Boxing Council (WBC) interim-junior welterweight champion Lucas Matthysse (34-3, 32KOs) has added Juan Martín Coggi to his corner as a trainer. Coggi is a former triple world champion and undoubtedly one of the greatest Argentine boxers in history.

Luis "Cuty" Barrera is still the team leader and chief technical director for Matthysse. Regarding Coggi, Barrera said - "it is a great honor to be incorporated into the group with a man who is a boxing legend

Arano said - "We talked to people from Golden Boy Promotions and they said that there are two possible dates for the return of Lucas, April 19th and April 26th. To date we've had no confirmation of potential opponents. But surely we'll know soon and we will announce it as soon as we know the exact date of the fight."
