krikya360.com was advised by trainer Robert Garcia that Antonio Margarito is coming down to Las Vegas to attend this weekend's bantamweight clash between Nonito Donaire and Fernando Montiel, which takes place on Saturday at the Mandalay Bay. Garcia trains both Margarito and Donaire, but it's not clear if Margarito is coming to support his stablemate or his countryman.
Margarito, who was medically cleared last month, is on scheduled to begin sparring in the month of March, according to Garcia. Margarito sustained a broken orbital bone during last November's decision loss to Manny Pacquiao.
The former three time welterweight champion is booked to face Miguel Cotto for the WBA 's 154-pound title in the month of June. To seal the deal, Cotto has to beat Ricardo Mayorga on March 12.
"He's already training and running, but he probably won't begin sparring until then [March]," Garcia told krikya360.com.
