CEBU CITY, Philippines  -  Filipinos Mark "Magnifico" Magsayo, Jeo "Santino" Santisima and "Prince" Albert Pagara mercilessly brutalized and knocked out their foreign opponents during the thrilling knock out-rich "Pinoy Pride 41: New Generation Warriors" card staged Saturday (July 8) at the newly opened IEC Convention Center in Cebu City, Philippines.

WBO # 2 Featherweight Mark "Magnifico" Magsayo of the Philippines was simply too fast, too powerful and too skilled for the brave Nicaraguan veteran Daniel "El General" Diaz, who was forced to take violent blows and a hard visit to the canvas from the very first instances of round one.

More thunderous punishment of high caliber poured on Diaz and two more times "El General" was floored during the fast paced action sequence, succumbing the Nicaraguan flat on his back while referee Danrex Tapdasan counted him out.   Time was 1:45 of round 1.

With the win, Mark "Magnifico" Magsayo (17-0, 13 KO's defended for the second time his WBO International Featherweight Title, which he won by knocking out Chris Avalos in April of last year.

SANTISIMA DISMANTLES TANZANIAN MREMA IN ONE ROUND

The the co-feature of Pinoy Pride 41: New Generation Warriors, promising Filipino Jeo "Santino" Santisima (14-2, 12 KO's) punished with violent hands Tanzania Super Bantamweight champion Goodluck Mrema, 22, vaporizing him in the very first round.

It was the then-undefeated Goodluck Mrema (now 16-1, 8 KO's) the one who started aggressively from the get-go, throwing hands at the Filipino Purisima who had to counter, which he did effectively, rocking badly the Tanzania warrior, sending him to the mat.  Bravely, Mrema went up, just to be further castigated with horrific combinations to the mid-section and the head; Santisima's right hook doing most of the damage.

Veteran third man Tony Pesons appropriately waved the actions off in a neutral corner, Mrema appearing to be in another dimension.

With the win, Santisima achieved his 12th consecutive victory, 11 of them by way of knock out; and now "Santino" needs a world-ranked opponent.
