New York, NY- During the buildup in his showdown with WBO junior welterweight champion Terence Crawford, tough contender Hank Lundy talked a big game. A lot of words were exchanged between the two, mostly from Lundy to Crawford’s camp. Two weekends ago he backed up his words and went out on his shield.

Though he was stopped in the 5th round, he left the ring with a lot of respect because he put it all on the line.

“I came to fight,” Lundy told krikya360.com. “I want to be knocked down on my shield. That’s that diehard in me. I was aware of everything. I still wanted to fight. There ain’t no punk in Hammerin’ Hank”

Lundy felt the fight was stopped too early and felt he should have got more time to continue.

“I don’t feel they should have stopped it,” explained the jr. welterweight contender. “You get caught with shots. I don’t think they should have stopped it. I’m a warrior. You know they seen that I was causing problems to Terence too. Nothing taken away him but they shouldn’t have stopped it. Hammerin’ Hank is one tough son of a gun.

Lundy said he seen some opportunities with Crawford and was throwing looping shots because he felt those were shots that have caused Crawford damage.

“I seen a couple things on the right hand side so I wanted to stay on that side,” stated Lundy. ”Then coach said it was time to turn southpaw so we turned southpaw. I turned southpaw because Coach Lee told me to. I’m going to where my corner was telling me to do. We seen in previous fights, he been hit with looping right hands, he’s been caught with it.”
