Fringe junior featherweight Luis Rosa will fight veteran German Meraz this coming Wednesday, promoter Lou DiBella confirmed to krikya360.com.

The eight round bout will top a 'Broadway Boxing' card at BB King Blues & Grill in New York City, N.Y.

Rosa (21-0, 10 KOs) has not fought since August 14 in Newark, N.J., when he won a six round unanimous decision over veteran Giovanni Caro.

Prior to the Caro fight, the New Haven, Conn. resident stopped Jonathan Perez in the fifth round on May 15.

Rosa, who is ranked in the top 15 in two of the major sanctioning bodies, scored his two best wins in 2014, defeating former prospect Jorge Diaz and fringe contender Luis Orlando Del Valle.

Meraz (52-36-1, 30 KOs) stopped Eden Marquez in the third round of his last bout on November 14. He has won four of his last five bouts, all by knockout.

Also on the card, junior welterweight Valentyn Golovko will fight Jerry Belmontes in an eight round bout.

Golovko (21-0, 14 KOs) won a fifth round technical decision over Gerardo Robles in his last bout on June 12. It was the first fight in the United States for Golovko, who had fought all of his bouts in his native Ukraine.

Belmontes (20-8, 6 KOs) snapped a five-bout losing streak by stopping Jerron Lockette in the second round on December 12.

In other eight round bouts, junior welterweight Louis Cruz (11-0, 5 KOs) will fight Michal Chudecki (10-1-1, 3 KOs) and light heavyweight Lenin Castillo (12-0-1, 7 KOs) faces hard-hitting Marcelo Tavares (8-0-1, 8 KOs).
