Louie Lynn is set to return to the ring in the near future after inking a new promotional deal.

The undefeated 23-year-old has been out since October 2018.

Lynn (4-0, 4 KOs), who is trained by former world title challenger Kevin Mitchell, is campaigning at featherweight and is from Banstead in Surrey.

He made his professional debut against Michael Horabin at the O2 Arena in March 2018, stopping him inside two rounds, and added three more quick finishes before his hiatus.

But now ‘Loco’ – a former GB amateur champion who also won the ABAs – has inked a new contract with Frank Warren.

Lynn, who revealed just seven weeks ago that he would be out of the ring for the foreseeable future due to what he described as managerial issues, will be back between the ropes before the end of the year after being confirmed as an addition to his promoter’s show at the Copper Box Arena.

“It’s been a long time coming,” said Lynn when revealing the news on social media. “[It’s definitely] built my character up to say the least! It’s been emotional but I’m here now and that’s what matters.

“I’m ready to take over and, God willing, I’ll go all the way and create a legacy that lasts as one of the greats.”

The bill on December 21, exclusively live on BT Sport, will be topped by Daniel Dubois as the London heavyweight challenges for the vacant WBC Silver title in a defence of his WBO International belt against Japan’s Kyotaro Fujimoto.

Further details regarding the card, which is expected to see Sunny Edwards vie for the vacant British super-flyweight title against English champion Marcel Braithwaite and will see the return of former Love Island runner-up Tommy Fury, will be revealed in due course.
