Copenhagen, Denmark: There was a long delay before the evening´s main event as American super middleweight Derek Edwards - due to some misunderstanding was very late in warming up and getting the gloves on - but once in the ring Edwards and his opponent Lolenga Mock put on a good fight with Mock winning a ten round split decision.

Mock made his customary slow start and floored Edwards, who had an all Danish corner, in the second with a left hook. Edwards got up though but was outworked for long spells. Edwards fought off the ropes and did at times well but overall Mock´s workrate, strength, determination and conditioning carried the fight.

Edwards had his moments, especially in the last two when he appeared to shake the 44-year old Dane a few times. It was scored 100-90 and 99-91 for Mock and a surprising 95-94 for Edwards. For the record I had it 96-93 Mock.

For two and a half rounds big, 300 lbs, Bosnian heavyweight Mirko Tintor (7-1-1) took Dane Pierre Madsen (7-0) to school but then the weight and pace weighed heavy on Tintor and he, already tired, returned to his corner exhausted and retired. Officially the result goes as a TKO win for Madsen at one second ;into the fourth.

It was obvious from the start that Tintor´;s southpaw style and know how in boxing would give Madsen problems and after winning the first Tintor hurt Madsen with a left in the second. Madsen was more or less out on his feet for a few seconds but got some time to recover after some hometown officiating. Madsen still looked out it for most of the round and just could´t cope with Tintor´s slick moves and surprising speed.

In the third the tide turned as Tintor, downright fat, was breathing heavily and Madsen finally scored with some punches. At the end of the round the Bosnian indicated to his corner he was through for the night. It was a disappointing ending to an exciting fight.

Cruiserweight Ditlev "Warrior" Rossing (4-0) took out Serbian opponent Milos Pavicevic (2-2-1) at 1.11 of the first. Rossing hurt Pavicevic with body shots and then with a big right hook to the head that almost turned Pavicevic around - and another right knocked him down. It looked bad and the towel came in just as the referee waved it off but Pavicevic got up fast and looked alright.

Female featherweight Sarah Mahfoud (2-0) outscored Ainora Mota (1-3-1) after four two minute rounds. It was fast paced with Mahfoud dominating but neither lady was never very effective even if Mota looked stunned a few times in the third.

Light heavyweight Jonas "Tiger" Madsen (9-0 and 5-3 as an amateur) showed again how much he´s learned in a short spam of time as he took apart Bosnian Mirsad Cebo (10-1) and won on a knockout in the third after 1.40. Madsen scored well to the body with Cebo holding as "Tiger" got close. In the third Cebo was hurt by a right hand and bent over and was nailed by a big right to the body and sat down. He was up at "nine and a half" but was counted out.

Talented super lightweight Enock Poulsen (4-0) stopped Serbian Petar Peric (4-3) at 2.15 of the fifth in a scheduled six-rounder that opened this edition of Danish Fight Night promoted by Brian Nielsen and Mogens Palle at Frederiksberghallerne in Copenhagen. Peric was brave and fought well but round by round it became increasingly one-sided and Peric took a beating in the fifth when it was stopped at 2.15. The Serb corner protested with some justice as Peric was still fighting back but he was taking stick.
