The fight between Luan Krasniqi and NABF Champion Johnathon Banks will not be rescheduled at the moment. Originally, the bout was supposed to happen on February 26, at the Arena Ludwigsburg but had to be cancelled due to a virus infection Krasniqi caught in the final days of his training camp. The tickets for the fight night were already sold out.
Krasniqi’s recovery is not at the point where he can start training again for a fight in April. Because of the TV schedule, the bout would have to be rescheduled after the summer break.
“When I step back in the ring I want to be in perfect shape and I need enough training to do so. A fight before May is not possible”, says Krasniqi.
Banks said, "I was looking forward to this fight in February and then in April, but now it looks like Krasniqi was pretty sick, so I will fight him when he is ready. I have trained very hard and will look to see what else is available."
Tom Loeffler, K2 Promotions: "It is too bad that this fight got postponed once again, we are all very disappointed, but probably no one more than Krasniqi. Johnathon is the NABF Champion and we will look to put him in a fight on one of our other shows."
