New York City - Undefeated heavyweight “Prince” CHARLES MARTIN of St. Louis, Missouri, will face England’s TOM DALLAS in a 10-round battle this Saturday, April 25 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
MARTIN vs. DALLAS will take place on the undercard of Wladimir Klitschko’s World Heavyweight Championship defense against Bryant Jennings from the “World’s Most Famous Venue” and will be part of the international telecast to over 150 countries.
Sporting a record of 20-0-1 (18KO’s), the heavy-handed Martin will be making the third start of his 2015 campaign. He is currently world ranked #2 by the World Boxing Organization and #5 by the International Boxing Federation.
“It’s an honor to be fighting at Madison Square Garden, the same building Ali vs. Frazier took place along with so many other legendary heavyweight battles.”
"Dallas is a big, strong boxer that doesn't run and comes to fight. I think it will be an exciting fight for the fans because we are both looking for the knockout!”
"Charles has Wladimir Klitschko firmly in his sights, but has to successfully get past Tom Dallas on April 25th first,” added manager MIKE BORAO.
Exciting slugger Dallas, 17-4 with 12 knockouts and a rock solid 6’6”, 230lbs, is a veteran of numerous high level clashes in his home country including against notables; David Price, Matt Skelton, and Tor Hamer.
“This is another big test for Charles, fighting against a bigger heavyweight and at Madison Square Garden”, said MICHAEL KING of KING SPORTS. “He’s been improving with each fight and we believe he’s well prepared for this next step.”
“Both fighters are in great shape, young and very tough men. Fans at the Garden and watching around the world are going to love this fight.
In his last start on February 28, Martin stopped Brazilian veteran Raphael Zumbano Love in the tenth round in Phoenix, Arizona.
