The winner of the upcoming fight for the WBA "regular" super middleweight belt between Brian Magee and Mikkel Kessler, is set to become the mandatory challenger to WBA super champion Andre Ward. If Denmark's Kessler (45-2, 34KOs) gets the shot, he is certain Ward won't be leaving the United States.

Kessler, who was the champion at the time, traveled to the United States to fight Ward in the first round of the Super Six tournament in 2009. Ward won an eleven round technical decision.

"That fight will never come to Denmark because he doesn't have the guts. But I'd be happy to go to the United States again. I want to show the world that I am not afraid to travel anywhere. I've never been afraid of that," Kessler said.

Even though the Danish superstar would rather not talk about Ward, he admits that the chance of gaining revenge motivates him:

"Of course the Ward fight is the carrot [dangling above]. It is obviously a dream for me to get a chance at redemption against a guy who defeated me," Kessler said.

The oft-injured Dane is back at full strenght. He tells news agency ritzau:

"I feel fine. Just a little soreness in my shoulder because of the training. I have no problems with my eyes and my back is working like it should."

The fight between Mikkel Kessler and Brian Magee takes place in Herning, Denmark on December 8.
