Fearsome Kazakh Sultan Zaurbek has signed a long-term promotional contract with Wasserman Boxing.
The devastating puncher becomes the latest addition to the global promoter’s exciting stable of fighters and he is now targeting a world title shot in 2024 with Wasserman’s expert backing.
Zaurbek has ruthlessly stopped 12 of his opponents and having cut a swathe through the 130lbs division’s contenders, he is now ready to launch an assault on the world champions.
Ranked No5 by the World Boxing Association, and inside the top 15 of the International Boxing Federation, the Kazakh King is primed and ready to become the next dominant force at super feather.
Zaurbek, 16-0, fights on the undercard of Wasserman Boxing’s huge show in Telford tonight, with his fight broadcast on Qazsport in his homeland, and on DAZN around the world.
And the 27-year-old expects to deliver yet another shuddering statement of intent.
Sultan Zaurbek said: “This is a massive moment in my career because with the support of Wasserman Boxing, I know I will land my shot at the world super featherweight title.
“And when I get that shot, trust me, I won’t miss. I am the most lethal fighter at 130lbs and the champions know they are on borrowed time.
“This year, I will bring the world title back to my beloved country of Kazakhstan.”
Kalle Sauerland, Global Head of Boxing at Wasserman, said: “We are delighted to have officially joined forces with the Zuarbek.
“Sultan is the most dangerous and devastating man in the super featherweight division and he is destined to rule at 130lbs.
“Today, we are officially putting the super featherweight champions on notice, because the Kazakh King is coming for the crown.”
