This coming Saturday night, former world champion Juan Manuel 'Juanma' Lopez will be back in Puerto Rico to face countryman Jayson Velez at the Mario 'Quijote' Morales Coliseum in Puerto Rico.

If Lopez wins, he has some very big names on his hitlist - including former world champions Gervonta Davis, Orlando 'Siri' Salido and Yuriorkis Gamboa.

"I would love the third fight with Orlando Salido. I could look for Gervonta Davis, who seems to have risen to 135 pounds, but he is a fighter of my stature, with style similar to mine and it would be good.. but if it is not done, I would also like to fight with Yuriorkis Gamboa. Those are the fights that I would like to do," said Lopez (35-5, 32 KOs).

Lopez said he does not underestimate his countryman Velez at all, but believes that his experience and power will give him the victory now that he has been training with a new team in the physical preparation part in order to put a golden pin on his career.

Lopez suffered two knockout defeats at the hands of Salido, and he was positioned to fight Gamboa several years ago - but that contest got derailed by the Salido defeats.

"I know I'm already in my last lap of professional boxing, I did not like the way my career had ended and we decided to come back. In my last fight we beat Wilfredo Vázquez Jr. and I know that if we beat Jayson we can continue with the plans we have," Lopez said.

"I'm 34 years old, I want to do five or six more fights, I want to take advantage of these two or three more years, because I feel good, I think I can still fight for a world championship, but one thing is the glove and the other the fight. So far everything is working well, without injuries, I'm losing weight and I feel very strong, fast and explosive."
