O2 Arena, London - Olympic bronze medallist Joshua Buatsi scores a second round technical knockout of Cuban-born Carlos Mena (4-6-0, 1KO) on his professional debut.
Light heavyweight Buatsi claimed a medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and wasted little time in making his presence felt in the paid ranks.
Londoner Buatsi, 24, hurt Mena with a left to the body in the opening seconds and followed up by sending him to the canvas with another hook later in the first round.
Mena jumped up off the canvas to see out the round but was sent down again early in the second with crippling body shot.
A further knockdown followed seconds later, and although Mena bravely got back on his feet once again, a barrage of unanswered head shots 1.19 into round two was enough for the referee to wave off the contest.
Having teamed up with Anthony Joshua's own management company, Buatsi will look to tread a similar path to world championship glory.
Welterweight Conor Benn (6-0-0, 4KOs) scores a third round technical knockout of Mike Cole (4-0-1, 1KO) in his first fight for seven months.
The 20-year-old 'Destroyer' has taken time out to sharpen his game and looked classy as he slipped and countered with purpose against the previously undefeated Cole.
A relaxed Benn dropped Cole, 29, with a straight right in the second and then finished the job 44 seconds into round three with another pinpoint right hand in centre ring.
With dad Nigel, 53, announcing a fight against Steve Collins later this year, fans will soon be able to catch a double dose of Benn action.
