Former bantamweight champion Joseph Agbeko (30-6, 26KOs) made his return at the El Paso County Coliseum in El Paso, Texas with a fourth round stoppage of Filipino contender Juanito Rubillar (49-23-7) in a super bantamweight contest.

It was the first fight for Agbeko since he was dominated by champion Guillermo Rigondeaux in an HBO televised fight in December of 2013. That lackluster performance caused HBO to bounce both Agbeko and Rigondeaux from their airwaves.

Against Rubillar he was aggressive and drew blood in the second round when cut Rubillar over his left eye. Agbeko picked up the pace with each passing round until the referee stepped in the stop the action at 1:31 of the fourth round.

It was the tenth loss for Rubillar in his last eleven fights, and his fourth defeat in a row.
