Jose Pedraza and Richard Commey are set for their head-on collision which presents a must-win scenario for both participants.

The pair of former titlists both made weight for their scheduled ten-round junior welterweight bout headlining an ESPN televised tripleheader from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Pedraza (29-4, 14KOs) was 139.8 pounds while Commey checked in at a lean and fit 138.8 pounds.

Both fighters suffered losses in their most recent starts.

Pedraza came up short in a twelve-round, unanimous decision to former unified 140-pound titlist Jose Ramirez on March 4 in Fresno, California. The fight snapped a three-fight win streak for the 33-year-old Pedraza (29-4, 14KOs), a 2008 Olympian and former junior lightweight and lightweight titlist from Cidra, Puerto Rico.

Commey (30-4, 27KOs) has not fought since a lopsided points loss to former three-division titlist Vasiliy Lomachenko last December 11 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The 35-year-old from The Bronx by way of Accra, Ghana has lost two of his last three starts following his ten-month IBF lightweight title reign.

Jared Anderson returns to action for the first time in 2022, fully healed up as he faces Serbia’s Miljan Rovcanin in a scheduled eight-round heavyweight contest.

Toledo’s Anderson—the 2021 krikya360.com Prospect of the Year—weighed 241.4 pounds for his first fight since last December, having suffered an injury to force the longest layoff of his young career. Rovcanin (24-2, 16KOs) was 230.6 pounds for his U.S. debut, riding a five-fight win streak.

Opening the ESPN-televised tripleheader, 2020 Olympic silver medalist Richard Torrez (2-0, 2KOs) enjoys a quick turnaround as he faces Mexico’s Marco Antonio Canedo (4-2, 2KOs) in a scheduled six-round heavyweight contest. Torrez weighed 225.4 pounds, slightly up from his weight of 224 pounds when the 23-year-old southpaw from Tulare, California fought just six weeks ago. Canedo was 215.8 pounds for his first fight in the U.S. and second straight outside of Mexico.

krikya360.com has learned that a fight between Haven Brady Jr. (7-0, 4KOs) and Nicaragua's Manuel Guzman (8-6-1, 5KOs) was pulled from the show. Albany's Brady weighed 131 pounds, well above the 128-pound contract limit. Guzman was 127.4 pounds.
