With his debut bout looming, one would think that Jose Arellano would feel a sense of anxiety or pressure just a few days ahead of his first professional bout. Arellano, who recently signed a contract with local promotional banner Sparta Combat League, is excited to jump start his career into high gear with the tutelage of former professional boxer turned trainer Hector Saez.

He faces a veteran opponent in Isaac Johnson this Saturday night but stated "I am 100% ready" when asked about how he feels heading into his first professional fight after a successful stint in the amateur ranks.

Arellano along with trainer Hector Saez both feel well-prepared heading into the bout on Saturday night as they have worked together over the past 5 years during Arellano's amateur career that saw him win the Ringside championship in 2016.

Arellano's debut will be in the super lightweight division but mentioned he will campaign at the lightweight divisional limit of 135 pounds after this fight like his idol Juan Manuel Marquez.

Arellano has high expectations for his career, as he wants to become a world champion and be known as one of the best. Hector Saez emphasized that making the right decisions will be pivotal to guiding Arellano towards his goal of becoming a world titlist.

He also mentioned that Arellano has the work ethic to become a world champion, as he is always in the gym. With the fight just a few days away, Arellano was already within two pounds of the weight limit the bout will be contested at.

The duo would not go into detail about strategy for Saturday's bout but Saez did mention, they would take advantage of whatever openings veteran opponent Isaac Johnson presents to them during the bout. Arellano, like many other fighters of Mexican heritage takes much pride in being able to represent his country in the boxing ring.

Trainer Hector Saez stated, "the sky is the limit for this kid". And with firsthand experience as a former fighter himself, it will definitely be advantageous for Arellano to have his guidance in the corner as his career progresses. His professional debut will be held this upcoming Saturday, February 25th at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Denver, CO.
