Home Depot Center, Los Angeles - In a bout for the vacant WBA international welterweight title, Johan Perez (17-1-1, 12KOs) won a hard-fought ten round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Yoshihiro Kamegai (22-1-1, 19KOs). The scores were 100-90, 98-92 and 97-93.

Hot featherweight prospect Joseph Diaz (6-0, 4KOs) stopped Rigoberto Casillas (8-12) in the third round of action.

Heavyweight contender Gerald Washington (8-0, 5KOs) won an eight round unanimous decision over veteran Sherman Williams (35-13-2, 19KOs). The actionw as lackluster, at best, and Williams was down once in second. All three judges had it 79-72.

Junior lightweight Ronny Rios (21-0, 10KOs) beat down Leonilo Miranda (32-6, 30KOs) for a sixth round stoppage victory.

Junior welterweight Jamie Kavanagh stopped Adolfo Landeros after the third round of a scheduled 8 round bout. Kavanagh (14-0-1, 6 KOs) aggressively pressed the action throughout the fight, putting Landeros (21-32-2, 10 KOs) on the defensive. Kavanagh seemed to stun Landeros on occasion, especially after the third round. After the third round ended, and after consulting with the ringside physician, referee Thomas Taylor stopped the bout.

Junior featherweight Manuel Avila won a one-sided eight round unanimous decision over Jamal Parram. There were few exchanges between the two fighters, but the action opened up more in the fourth round. Avila (12-0, 4 KOs) landed the more telling blows as Parram (6-8-1, 4 KOs) tried to load up with one punch. All three judges, including krikya360.com, scored the bout 80-72 in favor of Avila.

In the opening bout of the Golden Boy Promotions card, bantamweight Edgar Valerio (3-0, 2 KOs) won a four round split decision over David Reyes (2-4-1). One judge scored the 39-37 for Reyes, while the other two judges scored the bout 39-37 for Valerio.
