Jaron “Boots” Ennis and David Avanesyan made their weights ahead of their IBF welterweight in Philadelphia tomorrow (July 13).

Ennis came in at 146.4 pounds and Avanesyan was 147 pounds, with both fighters looking forward to a great night tomorrow at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

The 27-year-old Ennis (31-0, 28 KOs), from Philadelphia, is returning to the ring for the first time in a year since earning a 10th-round stoppage victory over Roiman Villa last July and is expected to light up his hometown against Avanesyan (30-4-1, 18 KOs).

Avanesyan, on the other hand, makes his second attempt at a world title against Ennis, having lost to superstar Terrence “Bud” Crawford on his maiden shot at a 147-pound title in December 2022.

The 35-year-old Russian fought his way back into title contention when he retired Sege Ambomo in four rounds of their scheduled six-round contest last December.

A welterweight fight saw Washington D.C. 's Jalil Hackett (8-0, 7 KOs) weighed 146.4 pounds against New York’s Peter Dobson’s (16-1, 9 KOs) 146.6 pounds.

Also, Skye Nicolson (10-0, 1 KOs) of Australia, who will be defending her WBC featherweight title, and her Dominican Republic challenger Dyana Vargas (19-1, 12 KOs) tilted the scale at 125.6 lbs ahead of their fight.

In a light heavyweight bout, New Jersey’s Khalil Coe (8-0-1, 6 KOs) came in at 174 pounds while Kwame Ritter (11-0, 9 KOs) of Maryland weighed 173 pounds.
