At the Pontchartain Center in Kenner, Louisiana, cruiserweight Hasan "The Destroyer" Henderson scored his second 1st round stoppage in as many contests with a 51 second destruction of Wade Gilbert (1-2, 1KO) from El Dorado, Arkansas. The bout was halted when a punch from Henderson badly injured Gilbert's elbow.
Both fighters weighed in at 205 lbs. Henderson (2-0, 2KOs) of Donaldsonville, Louisiana, learned to box in the Louisiana State Penitentiary boxing system, which also produced Clifford "The Black Rhino" Etienne.
Henderson held a prison record of 40-2 with titles in three weight classes. He was released from Angola in January and now trains in Houston, TX, under the tutelage of Jay Johns and Ronnie Shields.
