The director of Promociones del Pueblo, Osvaldo Kuchle, has already begun discussions for a final WBC super bantamweight eliminator between Rey "King" Vargas (25-0, 20KOs) and former champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (15-0, 10KOs).

The World Boxing Council ordered the two boxers to face each other, with the winner becoming the mandatory challenger to Julio Ceja.

Kuchle, who promotes Vargas, has had discussions with Rigondeaux's promoter Caribe Promotions.

Rigondeaux will first return on December 4th against Mario Briones in Canada. Vargas saw action three times this year and might fight again in January.

"I spoke with Caribe Promotions, who are the promoters of Rigondeaux. Obviously it's a fight that interests us and we are negotiating, and we only need to reach an agreement," said Kuchle to ESPN Deportes.

"The idea is to make it in America and obviously we are looking grow King Vargas on an international level and this is a good opportunity. We will do what is necessary to try to reach a deal on this eliminator which will bring us closer to the championship as difficult as it seems."
