Russian light heavyweight Denis Grachev (12-0-1, 8KOs) is ready to once again shock the boxing experts when he meets former super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (30-1, 24KOs) on November 3rd at the Bell Centre in Montreal. They will fight at a catch-weight of 170-pounds.
Bute returns from a devastating fifth round knockout to Carl Froch, while Grachev is coming back from the biggest win of his career - a shocking eight round knockout of highly regarded unbeaten light heavyweight Ismayl Sillakh.
Grachev has studied tapes and watched how Froch applied pressure in the first round and Bute was not able to withstand it. He plans to do the same next week because he wants to avoid the possibility of a hometown decision.
"I believe, beating Bute [in Montreal] will not be easy for me. I will constantly increase the pressure on my opponent and eventually break him. And the judges are likely going to be on his side - so I'll try to finish the fight early," Grachev said.
