WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (25-0, 22KOs) has no problem with helping out Felix Sturm (37-4-2, 16KOs). For two years Golovkin chased after Sturm but he never came close to getting the fight. Sturm has lost his last two, to Daniel Geale and Sam Soliman, and now Golovkin is the holder of Sturm's old belt.
Sturm still has a television deal remaining with SAT-1. Golovkin will defend his title on March 30th in Monte Carlo against Nobuhiro Ishida. After that, he welcomes a title defense against Sturm. Golovkin would like to return in the month of June in a big fight.
"I would fight fight him on his channel, in his city. And we can share the revenue equally. Felix can immediately get a fight for his former title," Golovkin was quoted by Hamburger Abendblatt.
