krikya360.com has been advised by Hector Zapari of Zapari Boxing Promotions that Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez Sanchez (27-0) will face Giovanni Lorenzo (33-6) when he makes his ESPN Friday Night Fights debut on April 11th on the eve of the highly anticipated Manny Pacquiao-Tim Bradley pay-per-view rematch.

Zapari, who manages and trains Ramirez along with his father, said that they hope to get the 22-year-old blue chip super middleweight prospect a title shot by the end of the year.  There has been talk that the nearly 6'3" Ramirez may also appear in the co-feature slot underneath the Juan Manuel Marquez-Mike Alvarado HBO televised fight that takes place in Los Angeles on May 17th if he gets out of the Lorenzo fight cleanly.

Ramirez last fought in February when he blew out the usually durable Don Mouton in one round while Lorenzo has gone 4-2 in his last 6 fights.
