Middleweight contender Gabriel Rosado (23-9) returns to action on Saturday night against Willie Monroe Jr. (20-2).

The fight will be Rosado's third with former champion Fernando Vargas in his corner.  Their first fight together was in December and resulted in an unanimous decision victory over former champion Joshua Clottey. Rosado returned to the ring in June to pick up another victory over Antonio Gutierrez.

Rosado said that he has great chemistry with Vargas and that he believes this is their best camp together.

"We are on a winning streak since I made the move to Fernando. We have some solid wins and are growing together. We just want to keep the momentum going and I think without a doubt this is our best camp.

"We are comfortable together. It feels great man. I can feel the difference in this camp. From the sparring and the focus. We changed camps. We did it in L.A. this time. We usually do it in Vegas but I asked Fernando to come stay at my place so we are together all the time and we are just vibing and have good chemistry and I think that is going to lead into this fight," said Rosado explained.

Golden Boy President said in a recent media conference call that the Rosado-Monroe winner could end up fighting Canelo in December should the Mexican star defeat Liam Smith.

Rosado understands that the stakes are high against Monroe and likened the bout to an NBA playoff game.

"I am confident in what we are going to do against Willie. It's a dream to be in a main event and fight a world champion for a title. Canelo Alvarez, if he gets past Smith, they are talking about a potential fight between us. That is the goal. Like the NBA - this is a playoff game and you want to get to the finals so we gotta knock Willie off to get to the finals," Rosado told krikya360.com.
