WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is not holding his breath on a potential undisputed fight with Oleksandr Usyk, who holds the WBA, IBF, IBO, WBO world titles.

Last September, Usyk outboxed Anthony Joshua over twelve rounds to capture the unified crown at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

A rematch is now in the works for a date in July.

Last Saturday night, Fury retained his heavyweight crown with a sixth round knockout of mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte. A record crowd of 94,000 were present at Wembley Stadium in London.

Afterwards, the 33-year-old Fury expressed the desire to retire from the sport.

The biggest fight in the sport would be a clash between Fury and the winner of the upcoming bout between Usyk and Joshua.

The 'Gypsy King' has backed Usyk to retain his titles and beat Joshua for a second time.

Fury feels confident that his frame would be way too big for Usyk, who became the undisputed cruiserweight champion before making a move up in weight.

However, Fury maintains the Usyk fight will never happen because of the current plan to retire from the sport.

“It’s never gonna happen because I’m retired,” Fury told talkSPORT on Thursday. “But let’s just say I’d punch him round the ring, because he’s a middleweight, blown up. I’ve already been the undisputed champion, I’ve won every single belt there is to win. I’ve got nothing more to do - I am out, fully retired. Done.”
