Carl Froch (29-2, 21KOs) insists he will not be looking past Yusaf Mack (31-4-2, 17KOs) when he defends his IBF super-middleweight title against the American on November 17.

The Nottingham fighter is expected to come through the clash in his home town with relative ease before moving on to a rematch with Lucien Bute early next year.

Mack, who usually operates at light-heavyweight, has been stopped by both Glen Johnson and Tavoris Cloud in recent years and will be a big outsider at the Capital FM Arena.

But Froch is not underestimating his opponent and even claimed that Mack is likely to be "15-20 per cent better" after stepping down a weight class.

"There's no such thing as an easy win, that's a load of rubbish," Froch told Sky Sports News.

"People will say, 'this will be an easy fight for you', but Yusaf Mack is coming down to super-middleweight and he's got different ideas.

"He's confident, he's strong at the weight, he's 31 years old, ambitious and coming over to England to win my world title.

"So I need to be on my A-game, I need to be switched on, focused and I need to start strong and sharp and be motivated, which I am.

He added: "He's probably more suited to the super-middleweight limit. There's a potential concern that he's going to be even better at super middleweight than he was at light heavyweight."
